If it weren’t for Lakeshore, I would be back in prison.  They have welcomed me with open arms when society would not.  Lakeshore is my family and I thank God everyday that I came here.  God has forgiven me and I am a new man.  I will never be the same.  The old Ken is gone.  -Ken M.

After a long history of mistakes and bad choices, Lakeshore Ministries gave me a choice between going back to alcohol use in my old family environment or living a Godly life here.  Lakeshore has been an uplifting journey at a time in my life when I needed to be wrapped in love and God’s guidance while rebuilding my life.  They gave me hope.  This is my family now.  I now have a job and a promising future!   -Patrick N.

I was 19 years old, living on the streets, and tired of being sick and tired.  I called Lakeshore and cried out for help, and Christi said that she would come and get me, even without an application.  All the men in the house welcomed me.  I LOVE LAKESHORE and I am not going anywhere until God moves me.  I am volunteering with the youth at my church, working, and studying for my GED.  God is helping me and I will be sober the rest of my life.  -Chris S.

I was a homeless veteran and thought that I would end up in a shelter or move under a bridge, but I got a call from Lakeshore saying that my name was given to them by someone that thought I needed help.  This was an answer to prayers.  Thank you Lakeshore and thank you Jesus!  -Neal R.
